Hi everyone…
I’m Abby Hagyard

Did you know…
That the moments that truly define us happened when we were kids?
They came along to guide us to the lives we were meant to live.

I was a child of the military… a BRAT without Borders… global before that was a thing.
I was raised by people descended from Vikings and utterly British stiff upper lips.

In 2019, we were featured in The Orange Years, a documentary produced by fans of The Nickelodeon Network. Parts of the film were shot at my FAME book launch in 2017. That’s where the crazy banner shot of me poking through the locker doors comes from. To everyone’s surprise, Rolling Stone Magazine featured The Orange Years and chose me to lead the story.

It’s because the fans of YCDTOTV, Care Bears and Teddy Ruxpin love to keep me in the loop that I’m in this photo taken at my Ottawa FanaticCon booth, celebrating too many decades of crazy fun to even begin to count!

You know how speakers talk about
“The Thing That Changed My Life”…?

I’m a military brat. I can do 10 solid minutes on not being able to find my house and another 10 on why I can’t tell the difference between forever and four-thirty.

After my Outdoor Improv Show at Ottawa Pride 2019

When I worked at Playboy Magazine (gasp), I turned down their offer to pose.
I didn’t want to live in the shadow of “OMG, Miss November, right?” for all eternity.

And then, I took on a TV role that no one was supposed to see and Nickelodeon’s You Can’t Do That On Television became the most famous kids’ show in history… and I got to look like a witless Mom twice a day, seven days a week in FIFTY-THREE different countries. People watch it on the internet now. I know, I know… eternity.

I launched a publishing biz to help other authors. Along with a bunch of “ghost” projects, I took time out to write a sweet, funny children’s fantasy adventure.

After that, I wrote the book on Fame because being famous for something is the one thing we all have in common. At some point, we’ve all been a household name, even if it was just at our house. Every day, we wear a label and, if you’re anything like me, we spend every waking minute trying to live it up or down.

And then I had a nightmare one night that woke me up in a cold sweat. The first thing I said, when I caught my breath? What a great plot for a novel!!

What began as a one-off mystery about a train-wreck redhead who can’t fail for trying turned into The Johnni Foster Romance Novel Collection. Book 1 is Vicarious: a whodunnit thriller with a strong undercurrent of comedy. Book 2 is a hot and heavy romance called Unsuitable that gets side-lined by COVID-19. Book 3 (Download This!) is in the works and Book 4 (Insatiable) is in Story Board.

We’ll adapt them all to suit the Story Me TV roll-out of JUST BETWEEN US – a video series that takes books from the page to the live stream camera, with real-time audience chats. And I can’t WAIT to see how that turns out!

Story Me TV is the next big thing and I’m so excited!!
It’s where everything comes together… at long last
